NEW: According to
international data sharing policies, rapid public availability of
data is much encouraged. We will make public data sets available
from this site, as soon as we have the agreement of the individual
PIs to do so.
Data access is (at the moment still) restricted to the CARINA partners. The rules of data
policy apply, that had been agreed on during the 'CO2 in the northern North Atlantic'-workshop in
Delmenhorst, Germany (June 9-11, 1999). Have a look at general
information for data policy details.
NOTE: Most of
the data sets are public now. Contact the PIs for free accessible
sites (e.g. CDIAC) to download these data.
NEW: If you have any
information you want to share with the CARINA-partners, but
rather would not like to put on the info board page for general
access, this can be placed on the secured data area. Just mail the
information, stating that access should be restricted.

This is the link to the data area (and
internal information area). You will get access from this site,
after being asked for your password. Your entry will be logged.
You can access the folders using the filenames that are indicated
in the data
inventory. Make sure to have ready a list of the files you would
like to download. In some cases, for data that are free accessible,
a link to the data source will be provided in the data
inventory. To save transfer time, you do not have to download
all files of a folder, the zip-files contain all the files for a
cruise, the date of this file usually indicates the last
modification. You may want to note this date in order to detect
updated files in the future. Modifications will also be reported in
the actual cruise.inf file. Please help to keep this
information up-to-date!
Should you have problems to unzip the files, here is a link to WINZIP for an
evaluation version of the software. (N.B.: If you have problems with
long filenames and your FTP-program, try this.)
